I am sure you have heard the phrase, “You are your own worst enemy.”
It was true for me. When I was first starting in this business, I was self-sabotaging.
I wanted this business to work so badly; I was ready to tackle anything that came my way, or so I thought.
But in reality, I felt frustrated and defeated after hitting obstacle after obstacle. I stayed stuck in one place for so long that it felt like I was in quicksand, sinking.
One day, I finally realized it was me holding myself back from success.
I had just started running a new split ad campaign using Facebook Lead ads. I thought I set up Zapier correctly so each new lead would go into my funnel. During my morning routine of checking my data, I realized I had not set it up correctly, and they were not communicating.
After hours of troubleshooting and contacting customer service, I was ready to give up. I started manually uploading the leads into the funnel, and when that wasn’t working, I began to send each email manually.
I was so focused on sending emails in frustration, only to realize I was avoiding the real issue. I was trying to cover the problem with a ‘bandaid’ despite knowing that learning this skill would have been a better solution.
I was stopping myself from tackling the problem head-on. My body’s reaction was to push it away and figure out a way around solving the problem to move on.
As I continued to send each email manually, my frustration was boiling over. Finally, I decided to step back and take a closer look at the situation. I decided to take a more patient approach and search for a way to get out of the manual email mess.
I realized that this is a valuable skill-building opportunity and not a sign that the universe is out to get me.
I must be determined to solve this issue and ensure tomorrow differs from today.
This was a skill I needed to understand to ensure all future lead ads automatically went into the correct funnel.
I have a horrible habit of feeling overwhelmed and pushing things away instead of facing them head-on and learning and growing from the challenge.
Jumping from one thing to the next….Doing what was easy first and procrastinating on what my mind believed was going to be challenging.
Do you do that, too?
Many entrepreneurs experience these feelings, but the most successful ones have a secret weapon: a positive and growth mindset.
Yes, the secret to success comes down to MINDSET.
It seems simple, but it is true.
Harness the power of positivity and a can-do attitude to break through the fear of failure and accomplish your goals! With this outlook, it’s much easier to take the steps necessary to get things done instead of becoming stuck in a downward spiral of apprehension.
What exactly is a Growth Mindset?
This way of thinking believes that anyone can become successful with dedication and hard work. No matter who you are, you can reach your goals if you put in the time and effort to learn and improve.
Challenge yourself every day to become the best version of yourself, and you’ll be amazed at what you can reach!
Embracing the principles of continuous improvement and showing resilience are vital traits.
Sure, we all want to experience success, but failure is a likely outcome along the way – and the best entrepreneurs find a way to use those setbacks to grow their companies.
True success isn’t an event or a single breakthrough; it’s the sum of the small daily efforts that add up over time. It can be a slow and steep road, but those who can keep going despite the odds will eventually succeed.
So, how can YOU develop a growth mindset?
Developing a growth mindset is a process that requires patience and commitment.
Here are a few tips to help you get started:
- Recognize all of your hard work! Remember to celebrate the small victories and accomplishments that have gotten you to where you are today. Acknowledge your successes and take pride in your achievements – you deserve it! Let your achievements lift you up and motivate you to keep going, no matter the obstacles.
- If something doesn’t work out, don’t be discouraged – instead, reframe it as an opportunity to gain valuable insight and make a stronger effort next time. Ask yourself questions such as “What did I learn from this?” and “What adjustments can I make for a different outcome?” Doing this will help you progress and achieve your goals.
- Surround yourself with successful people; this could be just the boost of motivation and accountability that you need! It’s an inevitable fact that the people you associate with have the potential to influence your thinking and behaviors. Tap into that potential and seek out positive influences who have already achieved great success on their own journey. Being around these types of people will not only keep you motivated but will give you more insight into how you can reach your own personal goals.
- Stay positive no matter the situation. Practicing gratitude, saying positive affirmations, meditation, yoga, or tai chi can help your mind stay focused and optimistic in difficult times. Many people have experienced personal growth through their grateful journey – why not give it a try and enjoy the benefits for yourself?
Are you ready to unleash your true potential and take your personal growth to the next level?
With a growth-oriented mindset, anything is possible!
Begin by creating an environment of positivity, writing down everything you’re grateful for, and viewing your failures not as failures but rather as useful stepping stones.
Ask yourself what you have learned, what new skills you may need to acquire to reach your current goal, and what obstacles are holding you back.
Take charge and start tackling your challenges head-on.
